The Internal Backstop (Anti-run back device) is used to prevent "reverse-shaft rotation" or a condition of overunning, ensuring no backslip. This component is necessary for transmitting the appropriate amount of torque at the mounted shaft. Backstops must be installed in order for the inner race to overrun and allow proper forward operation of the conveyor.
The backstop is sized in accordance with the required torque that is being applied and is mounted easily on shaft mount reducers for potentiating reliability and creating minimal wear. This component also aids in a continuous flow of lubricant.
